The Journey Begins

Ecosystems

  1. Tropical Rainforest: This ecosystem is found in regions with lots of plants and animals. They is a lot of rain fall. Jaguar, toucans and poison dart frogs. Orchids and kapok trees
  2. Temparte Forest: This ecosystem has trees when the winter very cold and summer hot.mice and chipmunks are found. Lichen and Moss
  3. Tagia Ecosystem: A ecosystem that is found in the far northern regions of the world.moose and caribou found.,
  4. Grass land Ecosystem: A ecosystem that is found in mildly dry area. Plus grazing animals and very tall grass.birds, bison and prairie dogs are found. Buffalo grass and sagebrush
  5. Desert Ecosystem: Very dry land and with a few trees and animals. Cactus and Joshua trees found.camels and coyotes found
  6. Tundra Ecosystem: An ecosystem found in very cold temperate and mountains. polar bear, arctic Fox. Bear berries moss and reindeer lichen
  7. Still Water Ecosystem: This ecosystem is found in area of little water and no flows of water.water lillies , algae and duckweed is found.fish and amphibious animals are found
  8. River and Stream Ecosystem: A ecosystem found in relative fast moving waters.otter, crocodile and turtles are found. Cattail, flowering rush algae and charales are found
  9. Littoral Zones: An ecosystem found along coastlines.barnacles, crabs and sea anemones are founds. green algae, sea lettuce and sea palms are found.
  10. Coral Reefs: This ecosystem found under the oceans and provides food, homes, and protection for life in the ocean. Sponges, nudibranchs fish , snapper and jellyfish are found. Algae, sea grasses and sea weed are found.

3 Cycles

  1. Water Cycle -the change of water from water to steam to ice and back to water
  2. Butterfly Cycle-the butterfly cycle goes from eggs to larvae to pupa to butterfly
  3. Frog cycle-life cycle of frogs goes from eggs to tadpoles to frogs

Five Examples of Biotechnology

  1. Genetic engineering of plants and animals
  2. Beer, wine and alcohol products
  3. flu vaccine
  4. Yogurt
  5. Biodessel fuels

Five examples of abiotic technology

  1. Plastic products
  2. Steel products
  3. Cameras
  4. CDs
  5. Television

How does energy flow through the tundra ecosystem?

Ice turn into water which helps animals survive.Carnivores feed off one another, and herbivores life off the planets in the cold ecosystem.
